Hello, all ...
I just snarfed a Yamaha Motif ES6, and aside from its' synth and sampling abilities, it can also act as a control surface for DAWs like DP. Has anyone here done this? I'd love to hear your experiences, with USB and the mLAN board (which I ordered, hasn't arrived yet). I'm (still) running 4.61 on a dual 2ghz G5 (first generation), haven't updated to 5 yet ...
Regards,
John

Re: Motif ES as control surface?

BTW, I got this to work, and it's super-cool to be able to control DP without using the mouse so much! The Motif ES has transport buttons that can map straight to the DP transport controls, and it's the coolest :-)
I did this via USB, which works very well. I tried with mLAN, but unfortunately, the state of mLAN on OSX is ... well, not great, or even good.

John
