Hola!
I'm new to DP (4.6.1) and I was wondering if there is a way (hopefully a simple one) to move tracks from a Pro-Tools session to DP? The reason I need to do this is I'd like to mix on my Mac using DP, instead of paying the Pro-Tools person to mix.
The Pro-Tools session is a live multi-track band session with various lead/backing over-dubs added after.
No mixing has been done yet, so, no fade/pan moves in the session.
I've been reading about OMF transfers, but haven't gotten any consistent info on this.
Anyone have any experience doing this?
Danke,
Steve

Re: Pro-Tools tracks into DP?
Mon, August 6, 2007 - 2:56 PM2 ways:
1) bounce all of your audio tracks starting from the same point (or use the duplicate AS plug-in to do fater than real time if you don't want to capture any realtime effects)
Then import the tracks.
2) OMF. Need to get and install Digitranslator (+ ilok auth) for PT to allow you to export. It's a part of DVToolkit if you're on LE or a separate add on for TDM. This allows you to export your sequence + volume and pan automation (mostly) into DP with all your regions and what not basically the same as they are in PT.

Thanks. I'll probably go with option 1. OMF seems too expensive, especially since I don't have any fades or effects that I need to worry about.
BTW: Your studio looks great, I am jealous!
